highlights for 2016

school highlight. being an L.T.L and being able to choose what I want to do.   

sports highlight. Dancing in the dance concert. I also really enjoyed taking part in gym sport.

family highlight.learning how to do a cartwheel. Getting baptized.

Food bank

Yesterday we went on trucks through Taranaki to pick up food for the food bank.We started at the TSB stadium. People all over Taranaki were doing it. There were heaps of big trucks there and I got  to ride on one. Some of the other people on our truck got out to collect the food that people brought out. Then they would give to us so we could organised it into boxes. There was a police car in front of us with its sierin on so people would know to bring out the food. At the end we had a lot of food.

Leadership

I was a leader at lunch because I was organising team tag. I was a leader because I had to get people to play with me and to tell them the rules. To Be a good leader you need to be a rule modal and be kind to others. You also should listen to other peoples ideas. That is how to be a good leader. You can  try it when ever you want.

SPRING

Shopping

My sisters and I were getting into the car and my dad was starting the car engine. We were heading to the mall to go shopping. When we got there we looked at the map that showed where everything was and where we were. First we went to the book store to pick up the game of life we had ordered. Then we went to Farmers so Mercy could get some clothes. Most of them were too big so we went to a different store named dotti. My dad kept getting a lot of things that Mercy would try on. Joyce and I had to wait for a long time because Mercy had so much things to try on. Mercy got a few thing from dotti and then went to just jeans. There were a lot of jeans in just jeans but it wasn't all jeans. Mercy tried a few jeans on and then she bought some. After that we went to one more store but I think that Mercy didn't get anything from that store. Then dad said that we could go get ice cream from Mc Donald's. The ice cream tasted really good. It was really smooth and was as cold as the snow on the mountain. We had a great and successful trip going shopping.

my strategy that I am using this term is using 5 times tables to find out larger times tables.It is a very good strategy to use to learn your large times tables.

Kokako

Today room 6,7 and 8 had an author visit.They read us Tamanui the brave Kokako of Taranaki. They also read us some of their versions of Goldie locks and the Three Bears and also The Three Little Pigs. It was really cool to hear there versions of the fairy tails

at the end I thanked them for coming. For one of our tasks we had to draw a Kokako. Do you like my drawing?

My Learning Goals.

The Cat In The Hat Dance

On Saturday I went to  the TSB Stadium for the mountaineer's game. I didn't go to watch I went to dance.It was very exciting because there was lots of people and we got to get all dressed up. I wasn't to nervous because I have been on the stage lots of times. There were a lot of people in my group.We were doing the Cat In The Hat Dance.  There were two different dances. One was for the older kids and one was for the younger kids. I was in the younger kid one. The older one was Annie. It went way to quickly. It was very fun because there were lots of fun moves in it.

ANZAC Poem

That was Summer

Remember when I looked around something was wiggling! I wondered what was making it wriggle but now I know it's heat waves that I saw in the distance.

Remember when I woke up one morning to a loud and screaming sound. I new instantly what it was it was the cicadas screeching loudly to say it's time to wake up.

Remember in the morning when it was nice and cool my mum told me let's go on a run. When I came back my face was covered with wet smelly sweat.

Simon's Cat

I like the Simon's cat clips because they are funny.I like the short meow of Simon's cat. I thought it was funny when the cat threw up the spider and it crawled up Simon's body and he didn't even notice and then it scared him
