Puiri Moth

Puriri Moth
Today Jaram bought a Puriri Moth.
If you put it in a tree it would be really camouflage .
It would be really camouflage  in a tree really well because it is green.
its  wings are really delicate.
It looks like there is two wings on both sides.
one on the bottom and one on the top.
The wings are huge and the body looks bigger than a mouse.
The Puriri Moth is native to New Zealand.
The eyes were big too.
It had a big black tail.
It would flutter around.
It had lots of details on the body.
It was really beautiful.

Onomatapoeia

Cluck cluck went the chicken as it laid a egg.

Vroom vroom went the cars as they raced on the racing track.

Achoo I went as dust filled the air.

Hick-up hick-up I went as I walked home from school.

Ha ha ha I went when I heard a funny joke.

Buzz buzz went the bumble bee as it got pollen from a flower.

Cling cling went the door bell as I ran to the door.

hahhhh hahhhh hahhhh as I finished the tiring and exhausting race.

Cousin SleepOver

When we were at my cousins Edens house we planned a sleepover with almost all the cousins. All the little cousins came. All the cousins that were coming came in the afternoon except Adam because he had to go to a soccer game. The bigger kids were going to make a fort. They made half of it but they didn't have enough time to make the rest. All the little kids had to go home when it was time to go to bed. Most of the kids slept down stairs but Eden and Pearl slept upstairs in Eden and her older sister Audrey's bed. It was fun sleeping with all our cousins but the next day we had to go back to NZ. We had to say good bye to all our cousins. It was hard to say good bye but we had to do it.

The Len Lye Center

Today our class went to the Len Lye Center. IT WAS AWESOME. when we were there we heard the story of Parihaka. There was also a sculpture made out of  chains and a crown on the top. The crown on the top represents the queen of England and the chain bit was a dress that the Maori leaders wore. When we were there we also saw fountains. The fountains were all different sizes. There was a huge one and a big one and a medium one and a little one. On the ceiling there was colorful lights shining on them. Each one had a different color. My favourite thing was a big metal oval. It rolled on a table and when it rolled it looked liked it was going to roll of the table. It was called the universe. It moved side to side because their was moving magnets inside, moving it from side to side. Hanging from the ceiling was a string with a ball at the end. The ball bounced up and down. Sometimes when it bounced down it hits the metal oval and when it hits it, it makes a really big sound. When we were going around and seeing all the things we had a paper and each time we stopped and saw something we filled something in. At the end when we were about to leave the people that took us around showed us how to make crowns out of them. The Len Lye Center is shaped like a wave so we got to go inside the corners. It was really cool inside the corners because their were mirrors and they reflected all the things outside. I think the Len Lye Center was really cool.

The Pig Party At Silver pond

Slippy sloppy mud was everywhere by the silver pond. It was called silver pond because on the bottom there was shiny silver clay. It was muddy and deep. All of the pigs were getting ready for a party at the silver pond. A cook was in her kitchen making a gold
cake for the pig party!

She drove to the silver pond and swam to the middle and put the golden cake on the island. there. The cook was so happy she got the cake done because there was only one more day to go until the party!

A pond cleaner went to silver pond to clean it all up because it was completely dirty. The day came for the pig party at silver pond. Mud worms were everywhere with their tiny silver instruments. The pigs started to arrive with desserts. Pigs came in families. Some pigs were fat, some were skinny, some were little, some were large, some were happy, some were sad, some were grumpy and some were mad. Everyone wanted to meet people so they decided that they should dance. All the pigs danced amazingly until... they saw the golden cake.

They started to walk to the cake but they realized it was in the middle of the pond. Then everyone heard a trumpet coming towards them, it came closer and closer.Soon it came into view. It was the pig princess with her pig servants. She saw the cake and sent her servants to go and get it. All the pigs couldn't move or talk. The servants swam back and gave it to the pig princess. She started to eat it mmmmm,” she said. Then one pig went up to the princess and honked“Can I have some?” and the princess oinked “yes”. Then all the pigs went up to her and asked “can I have some?” and the pig princess oinked “yes” to everyone. They all yelled “yummmm“ together.
