Onomatapoeia

Cluck cluck went the chicken as it laid a egg.

Vroom vroom went the cars as they raced on the racing track.

Achoo I went as dust filled the air.

Hick-up hick-up I went as I walked home from school.

Ha ha ha I went when I heard a funny joke.

Buzz buzz went the bumble bee as it got pollen from a flower.

Cling cling went the door bell as I ran to the door.

hahhhh hahhhh hahhhh as I finished the tiring and exhausting race.

  2. A fun presentation of your knowledge Sage. Yes, those words are around us all the time, but we seldom think about how effective they are. They make our speaking and writing 'POP' don't they.

  4. Hi Sage,
Its Sukena, I really enjoyed reading your onomatopoeia sentences.
Did you like doing this activity? I put onomatopoeia in my writing sometimes.
